MOSQUITO NETS

Not all mosquito nets and persianas are the same, so take a look at the information below which will help you understand what you need.
ENROLLED MOSQUITO NETS
For windows or doors, a pull down or enrolled net is the most popular option. The net is in a small box which fits to the top of the reveal outside the window, and fur lined guides are fitted down both sides of the reveal to seal the closed net against insects, a fur pile against the bottom pull rail completes the job/seal.
This type of mosquito net is not a part of the window and may be fitted after the installation or to existing windows that are not being changed.
SLIDING MOSQUITO NETS
For use with aluminium sliding frames our sliding nets cover half of the aperture when used with two leaf sliders or one third (three leaf sliders) or one quarter with four leaves on two tracks. The net is always visible over the part of the aperture that it covers. Of light but strong construction, the net is easily removed, if desired, for the winter months. Enrolled nets may also be used on sliding doors and windows and so can Caterpillar nets, see below.
CATERPILLAR NETS AND NETS FOR PRIME DOORS
For hinged doors a pull down net may be used, but if there will be a lot of traffic through the door it may be impractical as the user has to bend down to release the net to raise it, and again to close the net afterwards.
Better is the Caterpillar net which is a concertina net in one or two parts which will cover a door or double doors up to 1.9 metres in one piece and 3.8 metres in two parts. When open, the net is contained in a frame to the side of the door, which is all but covered by the door frame itself, and on the floor is nothing but a nylon strip, so nothing to trip over.
ARCHED NETS
Always fixed in place, always visible, the arched net is designed only for arched windows and doors and is the only way to protect against insects in these locations.
GENERAL NETS
Crystal Windows mosquito nets are available in all colours including woodgrain effect and can be fitted to existing windows and doors as well as replacements.
